Yale School of Art Website Redesign

The redesign of the Yale School of Art website was focused on creating a better experience for students, applicants, and visitors who want to explore academic or creative content on the website. The key issue was to ensure that the large amount of information regarding the programs, events, or other school materials is presented to the visitors in an engaging manner, without being overwhelming. The idea was to ensure that the website looks visually appealing while improving clarity, structure, and ease of navigation. The design was done using a clean layout system with yellow overlays and images to ensure that the website looks modern, energetic, and easy to navigate. Yellow was used as a primary color because it helps highlight important information and gives the website a bold, inviting feel that reflects the school’s creative identity. The design also ensured a clearer sense of organization while addressing the issue of dealing with a lot of content in a more confident manner. Users can feel more confident using the redesigned version because the clearer layout and stronger visual hierarchy make the site easier to understand and navigate.
